Exploring the relation between social capital and the formation of networks of civil organizations (ONGs) in Mexico
Abstract
Considering that one of the important questions that has taken place in the field of the civil organizations (NGOs) at world-wide level is the increasing tendency to associate with other organizations as a strategy to ensure it will long-last and to increase the impact of its work. In this article, we presented the way in which takes place the processes of association and constitution of networks of NGOs in Mexico and we described the particular forms in which when related to the population, they promote or not, the existence of a type of social capital that not only allows them to ensure its survival like organizations but to generate social and political conditions to obtain the promotion of a type of development directed to the satisfaction of objective, subjective, emotional and aesthetic necessities of the population.
