Abstract
A non-experimental study was performed to determine the predominant values of the students of the Andrés Bello Catholic University in its Caracas branch. For that purpose, a self-applied scale of 55 values was designed and administered through an intentional selection of 3,384 students, which was analyzed on the basis of a descriptive analysis and factorial structure of the aforementioned values. One can extract from the results five dimensions or determining factors according to their composition: Cosmopolitan, Social, Instrumental, Moral and Conservative. The students assign more importance to those values associated with the interpersonal relations and the collective. This is shown by the greater weight ascribe to the moral, instrumental and social values in contrast with the cosmopolitan and conservative ones.
