The purpose of this article is to analyze the resources mobilized by the deputies elected in the five disputes for the Ceará State Assembly that took place in the democratic period from 1945 to 1964. The hypothesis is that these agents had multinotabilities and diversified resources converted into a political career making them competitive. The research was based on quantitative data from the results of the elections and on biographical data used in the sociographic analysis of agents’ trajectory. It was concluded that the success of the analyzed agents was not due to the fact that they hold multipositionality and multinotability, but due to resources common to the logic of direct reproduction, that is, the economic, political and social resources inherited from the family.
